Embedded Linux platform and BSP development

We build Linux software platforms for embedded devices: bootloader, kernel, device tree, drivers, Buildroot/Yocto images, services, networking and update mechanisms.

You can start with a practical problem

You do not need to prepare formal engineering terminology before contacting us. A clear business or equipment problem is enough for an initial technical discussion.

What we do

BootBootloader configuration and early hardware initialization.
KernelKernel configuration, patches and board-specific support.
DescribeDevice tree for buses, GPIO, regulators, displays and peripherals.
BuildReproducible root filesystem and package configuration.
IntegrateSystem services, networking, application startup and diagnostics.
ReleaseProduction image, build instructions and update package.

What the customer receives

The exact deliverable set is agreed before the stage starts so acceptance is based on concrete engineering results rather than activity.

Technology and implementation

We select the architecture and tools according to interfaces, timing, environment, maintainability and production constraints.

BuildrootCompact reproducible images for appliance-style embedded systems.
YoctoLayered product platforms where package and variant management justify the added complexity.
BootloaderU-Boot configuration, environment and boot flow.
Kernel/BSPKernel configuration, device tree, patches and drivers.
NetworkingEthernet, Wi-Fi or cellular integration as required by hardware.
OperationsWatchdogs, logs, update, recovery and serviceability.

Embedded Linux platform and BSP development: engineering approach

Embedded Linux development starts with the boot chain and hardware description. Stable power, clocks, memory, storage and peripheral initialization are prerequisites for a reliable software platform.

We keep the build reproducible so the customer can rebuild the image from source rather than depend on an opaque binary image.

Product services, diagnostics and update behavior are integrated with the hardware platform and the expected field-maintenance process.

Frequently asked questions

Questions that are useful to settle before the initial estimate.

Buildroot or Yocto?

Buildroot is often the simpler choice for focused devices. Yocto is useful when product variants, package policy and long-term platform management justify the extra infrastructure.

Can you bring up Linux on our custom board?

Yes. We work with board schematics, boot logs and hardware measurements to bring up the platform.

Do you write drivers?

Yes, for supported kernel interfaces and custom peripherals where a driver is required.

Can you migrate an existing Linux product?

Yes. We can update the BSP, kernel, root filesystem and build system while preserving application behavior where practical.

Do you provide the build project?

Yes. Reproducibility is a core deliverable for custom Embedded Linux work.
